Tamra Davis directed this Sir Smoka Lot video?! Nice. My friend @jawnita interviewed Tamra Davis about her very, very excellent Basquiat documentary Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child which I have watched probably 20 times this year (and just might watch again right now as Half Baked plays on my television). I highly recommend the film to anyone interested in art, graffiti, american culture, punk rock, rebels & radicals, intelligence, courage, famous black people with predominantly white fans, hip hop, new wave, fans of Fat Tony, or any other cool buzzword representative of 1980’s progressive creative culture.
Tamra Davis also directed CB4, Half Baked, Billy Madison and more lovely movies & TV. She’s also Mike D from the Beastie Boys wife which is way cool.
