@MisterHeavenly, rock ‘n’ roll super group consisting of modern indie rock legends Nick “Diamonds” Thorburn (Islands/The Unicorns), Ryan Kattner (Man Man), and Joe Plummer (Modest Mouse), and me will be playing a couple Texas shows together next Monday and Tuesday! Monday, August 29 we’ll be in Denton, TX at Hailey’s and spend the next day (Tuesday, August 30) in Austin, TX at the Mohawk.

I’ve played with these young men a couple times before and even got Nick Diamonds singin’ his heart out with me on a new song “Bad Habits” (which also features probably the best rapper I’ve ever met face to face Bun B of UGK) out soon as the b-side to my next single release “Good While It Lasted”. Both produced by Tom Cruz, of course.

Mister Heavenly just released their debut album of “doom wop” gems on Sub Pop and you can stream it from the video above for the low, low price of $FREE.99. Just don’t forget to BUY IT if you dig it. ;)

Played Austin last night opening up for Mister Heavenly on the last date of their first tour. Mister Heavenly features Nick Diamonds from Islands aka @NickfromIslands, Honus Honus from Man Man, Joe Plummer from Modest Mouse, and Michael Cera from movie theaters. They’re signed to Sub Pop. Buy their records when they’re released.

Had a very fun night. Sold out show with a packed crowd. Sold out of all my RABDARGAB CDs I brought and made quite a new few Fat Tony enthusiasts. Houston folks came out to represent. Got pulled over by police and set free. Ate a ridiculous burger. The owner of Scoot Inn is a true gentleman who showed nothing but fantastic hospitality to us all. I salute you.

P.S.
Some brave soul recorded their entire Portland show and put it on YouTube. It’s great quality and best way to hear these dudes. Enjoy.
